Who we Are

Monterey Bay Dog Training Club

Since 1966 to the present, Monterey Bay Dog Training Club, Inc, has provided knowledgeable, on-going professional obedience training to the dog owners of Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties. Our training facilities are located at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville and at the MidCountySeniorCenter on Bay Ave in Capitola.

We take pride in being the very first Dog Training Club as well as the first AKC Member obedience club recognized in the area. We provide training at all levels…puppy, beginning 1 & 2, novice, open, and utility. Our program also offers all levels of Rally classes. The quality of our training is demonstrated by the number of handlers who return with their new dogs and the referrals we receive from former students.

WHO WE ARE

Monterey Bay Dog Training Club is an American Kennel Club (AKC) member Club founded in 1966. Our mission is to demonstrate and promote responsible dog ownership. The Monterey Bay Dog Training Club has been conducting training classes for over 55 years.

WHAT WE DO

Our members participate in a variety of activities with their dogs including obedience, conformation, agility, tracking, herding, and therapy dog work.

The Club offers obedience, rally, and conformation training classes. We host AKC sanctioned obedience, rally, scent work, and agility trials, and a variable surface tracking test. We also offer the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and support a number of philanthropic efforts.

HOW TO JOIN

Club membership is open to those wishing to participate more actively in Club events and activities. All Club events and activities are possible only through the contributions of our members.
