2017 - 2018 Trials and Events

We offer a variety of social events for our members such as hosting a Holiday party and Summer Picnic with Doggie Games; participating in community activities such as the Aptos Fourth of July Parade, Santa Cruz County Fair and Morris Animal Walk Fund Raiser; events to support our annual scholarship to a deserving UC Davis veterninary student and an Emergency Medical fund for dog owners unable to pay for veterinary care.

As an AKC member club we offer Canine Good Citizen Certification and annually host a Variable Surface Tracking Test, an Agility Trial, and an Obedience - Rally Trial.

Our next event is an workshop for dogs and handlers who want a little extra practice.

Fund Raising Events

All the funds raised at our annual Holiday Photos taken by Dog Gone Digital go to the Gifts from the Heart program, an emergency medical fund for dog owners unable to pay for veterinary care. Even the photographer donates his time and materials. In 2016 our donation paid for veterinarian services for two elderly dogs and a cat. In years past donations have paid for lab work, surgery, and medicines.

Community Involvement

One of our annual events is to visit Sunshine Villa in Santa Cruz where we demonstrate basic obedience and some agility exercises, concluding with the residents visiting with our dogs.
