50th AnniversaryThe Monterey Bay Dog Training Club has celebrated our 50th Anniversary in the Monterey Bay area.
Back in the mid 1960's several local dog owners who where competing in various forms of the fancy came together to form a non-profit training club. Originally called Vista Mar Dog Training Club, the club later became known as the Monterey Bay Dog Training Club. Early founders included Dale and Wally Kodis, Mary Bettencourt, Nancy Lewis, Luane Vidak, and Tom and Virginia Lams. They were joined by Dorothy Donoghue, Betty Kuepner, Al McCandless and Ray Mann and all eleven formed the nucleus of the Club that still thrives today.
The club boasts over 50 members and is always looking for new folks to get involved with training and enjoy life with their dogs. Our professional trainers and classes help to spread the message about responsible dog ownership. We encourage young people and their parents to train with us and experience the bond and trust that develops between dog and human.
The Monterey Bay Dog Training Club looks forward to another 50 years!
